Research work as a result of the collaboration and research grant with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (MECD) and the Department of Architectural Projects of the ETSAB. The following study is related to the subject of Projects I and II of the afternoon group, under the supervision of the professor and tutor Jaime J. Ferrer Forés.

'Juxtapositions to Scale' is a research project that studies and analyzes architectural works that complement an existing structure. Twenty case studies are selected in which the architectural interest of the contact established between preexistence and its extension prevails. All cases are graphically analyzed, by redrawing their plants, to establish an analytical comparison in the form of an atlas that illustrates the different project strategies of the works and their subsequent classification according to the way in which the intervention relates to the pre-existing building.
