I am Claudia García del Val and I was born in Barcelona in 1995, where I graduated as an architect at the ETSAB, UPC (2020). I lived for a year in the small swedish town of Lund, studying my fifth year at the Lunds Tekniska Högskola. During my last academic course, I obtained a grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, with which I carried out the research work Yuxtaposiciones a Escala, in collaboration with the ETSAB Department of Architectural Projects.
At the moment, I am studying a Master's Degree in Advanced Architectural Studies with specialization in Theory, History and Culture, while working at the same time as a publications editor intern at the ETSAB Department of Architectural Projects.
During this academic year, I have been selected, along with 24 other master students from different artistic disciplines and countries, to participate in the Cultures d'Avenir program; a European art and culture project organized by the Centre Pompidou (Paris), the CCCB (Barcelona) and the HKW (Berlin), in collaboration with the OFAJ.
I consider myself a curious person, always willing to learn new things, and I am specially interested in architecture theory and research, art history, literature, photography or the cultural diffusion of architecture, among other things. Attributes such as precision, attention to detail and sensitivity are reflected in my work and in my way of understanding architecture.
