Program: Pavilion with Playroom and Café-Lookout

The project consists of creating a pavilion on the banks of the river Bastareny that opens both to the square and the village church and to the surrounding nature. This pavilion is understood as a filter between the population and the landscape and it houses a playroom and a cafeteria with a terrace.

A vertical connection is created between both floors, that articulates the routes around it physically and visually, and that guarantees to be a source of natural light for the whole place. Slender trees grow within this double-height glazed element, creating a forest of pillars and trunks, that is, a fusion of architecture and nature. The riverside landscape of Bagà enters the pavilion and becomes an interior and close landscape for the visitor.
